How do i fix my highlights?

i've gotten highlights before a couple times, and this time wasn't supposed to be any different. I wanted highlights and lowlights... just something subtle to add a little color texture and that wouldn't really result in showing tacky roots that are a different color a few weeks later.

well the person who did my hair made the highlights too light. I feel like it makes my hair too streaky and the roots are already showing. It draws way too much attention to the fact that i've highlighted my hair and is starting to look fake.

how do i fix this without spending a lot of money? any tips? should i just buy some dye and dye some of the highlights a darker color? or what?

First of all.. do not EVER put anything over the counter on your hair.. an easy fix would be to just get a toner put on it.. very inexpensive and i'll bet if you went back to the same girl who did it and tell her how you feel she'll do it for free (at least i would) or at least only charge you for the product. please dont put anything from wal mart on your hair! Hope this help but yes a toner.. simple and fast and inexpensive!

you should buy dye %26amp; do it your self. much less expensive, plus you'll learn how to do it yourself.

buy the pantene one its good for your hair %26amp; the color stays longer.

1. calm down! it WILL be okay.

2. you can try a number of things. you could try dying your hair overall a shade darker. you could try going over the highlights in a darker color. you could also go to a salon and get the color stripped from your hair, but i'm not sure how much that will cost.

hope it works out!

lol......I did something similar to this to my friends hair. All you need is two boxes of hair dye. One shade darker and one shade lighter than the finished colour you want. Colour in the highlights that are too light with the dark dye. Once you've washed it out use the light dye on the same pieces. It will lighten the highlights to the exact shade you want. You could also do this to the whole head and just go back to your natural shade....which is what my friend did.

Just put one color over your entire head. That way the light color will be darker but still lighter than the remainder or your hair. So it will blend.
