Well i had my hair bleached (highlighted) hated it now dyed it dark brown with home dye, its turned quite dry mostly on ends and looks really split, what shall i do!

There is no magic solution. All the blow-drying, straightening, coloring and curling breaks down the cuticle of your hair, and the strands literally start to come undone. By the time you notice a split end, irreparable damage has already been done. You have two choices: get regular trims every six to eight weeks, and practice aggressive prevention with the steps below:

Comb wet hair gently with a wide-tooth comb to prevent damage.

--%26gt;Use a soft-bristled brush on dry hair.

--%26gt;Invest in an ionic blow-dryer that locks in moisture

--%26gt;Use shampoos and conditioners formulated for color- treated hair.

--%26gt;Wait at least two weeks between chemical processes.

--%26gt;Don't do a perm and a color the same day, for example.

--%26gt;Deep condition your hair at least once a month, and also look for hydrating, leave-in conditioners that can soften the look of split ends.

--%26gt;Find styling products with silicone, which is great for smoothing split ends.

And finally...

Don't be afraid of a trim. Cut off the weak ends and concentrate on making the hair healthier with the steps outlined above. Even if you're growing your hair out, it's a good idea to keep the ends trimmed.

deep condition your hair and trim the highlighted ends

if its mostly on the ends then trim. if you don't want to lose the length, then try hot oil treatments or deep deep conditioning.

did you bleach it yourself? Did you use a home color that contains bleach or ammonia to make it darker? You might need to get it trimmed and a deep conditioning treatment ASAP.

Ugh, I know just how you feel. Split ends are the worst. The best solution (though its not permanent) is getting it cut or trimmed. Getting it layered helps alot too, and it looks REALLY good if you get it cut with a razor instead of shears. A source of bad split ends is damaged hair, which is my case. I blow dry and straighten my hair after every single shower and it really takes a toll. Lay off the heat styling for a while and use shampoos and conditioners designed to help damaged hair.

Hope I helped :].

Be careful in this stage when your hair is going through this process! You don't want your hair to BREAK OFF or FALL OUT! Also, please stay out of the ocean or a swimming pool. If you like green tinted hair, then enjoy a cool dip in the ocean or a swimming pool....Seriously, CONDITION YOUR HAIR after washing it....

It's risky to die your hair twice within a short period of time and it really damages your hair to use store bought dye products. In the future you should go to your stylist and tell them that you are unhappy with the results, usually they will fix it for free. I agree, trim a few inches off to get rid of most of the dry ends and also do a deep conditioning treatment at your salon. Also, the most important thing you can do to maintain healthy hair is to use good shampoo and conditioner. Matrix, Kerastase, Bumble and Bumble, Bed Head are all good brands of shampoos and hair products. After using good products you'll notice your hair is shinier and healthier. My favorite hair product EVER is Bed Head "After Party" it comes in a bright pink tube and its a smoothing cream that makes your hair silky and soft. Hope that helps =) ....

This same thing happened to me - Dont panic it can be fixed - The best thing to do is treat it as hair does not take very long to repair - start with putting the natural oils back in to it so only was every other day or longer if you can manage it - when you was it use the AUSSIE 3 minute mirachle conditioner for coloured hair it works wounders. also try some leave in conditioners that can be picked up for less that 2.00 pound a packet - try and stay away from ahirdryers as much as possible (i would say straightners to but we all know how impossible that is) thats all i can say really - Good luck hope its ok. x
