How to make thin hair look fuller!! Please help :)?

I have thin, highlighted hair. I straighten it every second day 'cause well, that's when I have a shower. But on the second day it looks greasy! Well, at least to me it does. I use a smoothing spray and a littel bit of leave-in conditionary but that's about it. Is there anything I can do to make it look less greasy and more full? Would more layers help? Thanks. :)

If you find that your hair is getting greasy then you should be shampooing it more often. Get a shampoo for oily hair and cut back on the leave-in conditioner. If you think your hair is looking flat then maybe you should stop using the smoothing spray and get something for volume instead. You could use a volumizing mousse or gel before you syle your hair. Also, spraying with a volumizing hairspray while your head is upside down will help you get fuller hair. Hope this helps!!!

i have thin hair too. Why dont u try and wash it everyday. I have to wash mine everyday or else it gets really flat and greasy. Also try not to straighten it too much. Leave it natural. I am sure your hair is awesome

Leave in conditioner always makes my hair greasy. Let's say I washed my hair in the morning...by night time came around it would be gross. I threw it away and just got a deep conditioner that I use once a week. You can get a conditioner for your specific type of hair at a salon.

washing everyday isnt the best for your hair, but if its really oily it may be your only option. you could try a texture service, they would give you a perm on HUGE rods, *papertowel tube sized ones * and that would pump up the volume and you could still straighten it. it would also take out the grease factor. make sure its clear to the stylist what you want. NO CURLS! Volume and body. thats it. if they come out with rods that look to be the same diameter as your finger or smaller... run.

Don't straiten it too much, it makes the hair even more thinner. What you should do is try a little scalp massage to stimulate hair growth.

It not only feels wonderful, it's good for you, too. Oh yes, the feeling is just, aaah, you have to do it! :) Trust me! You'll see the difference later on.

If you want to get your hair cut, make sure you go to someone who knows how to cut thin hair. Many people don't. Some layers look good but it doesn't lay the same when you have thin hair. Honestly, the best cut I've had is a reverse bob, and she made it a little short in back. Not with tons of super choppy layers. I try not to wash my hair every day, but yes, it gets super greasy. The other thing is...I don't use conditioner much, if it all. Maybe once a month when I feel like it. lol A friend told me that if I do want to use conditioner (the perks of working in a salon) is to just use conditioner on the ends of the hair because there's where you need it most. Not on the new hair at the top.

I honestly miss having my hair long, but...it just wasn't best for my hair type, which is fine.

Your hair sounds nice!

Well, if you think your hair is greasy, why don't you get honest opinions from people you do or don't know?

And if you want to make it look healthier, use good shampoo and maybe find a way to blow dry it to make it look fuller. And maybe once in a while you can put egg in your hair. eggs have really great vitamins that will make your hair more shiny and healthier!

And, also, don't use hair spray, that has alcohol in it and makes your hair dry out quickly. Mousse is more effective and is great on hair!

Good luck!
