Messed up my hair color, top part is highlighted the rest is brown..ugh?

I've been dying my hair for the last several years, i've gradually made it a lighter shade of blonde with highlights added..i tried a darker shade of blonde this time.. now it looks like a mess. the bottom half is practically brown ( i may have left it on too long) and the whole top part is highlighted...it looks like crap

if i bought a slightly lighter shade of blonde (all over color, no highlights this time) and applied it the day after i just messed up my hair would it work... and would it look ok???

no it will make the top part even lighter..you are going to have to get an even color for your whole head and start over..this is going to be bad for your hair, though, making it very dry. Can you just handle it long enough to give your hair a rest for a week or so? also I hope you are using oil treatments on your hair in-between so it doesn't fry. good luck..

I would just not worry about any highlights or lowlights right now, and dye it all one color, yes it should work even if it's only been a day, but give your hair a break after that. I would probally go a darker shade than your darkest color right now.

Get a shampoo were you can streak out all the color.

It will take it back to your natural haircolor.

But then redo your hair again!

Don't mess with it anymore until you can get to a salon..until then, wear your hair up everyday in a big clip. This way people will see the front/top of your hair and not the bottom/back. If you dont think your hair looks good like that, just tell people you did not do your hair or you are trying out a new comfortable look with your hair out of your face.
